16TA06: A novelty at Tucson 2020. Crystals of Cinnabar with a dominant rhombohedral habit and some minor crystal forms, translucent, extraordinarily lustrous and with a very vivid color, on a white saccharoidal Gypsum matrix, with small Calcite crystals. The specimen comes from a recent find which has been carefully analyzed and determined to be Cinnabar and, despite the fact that it has been said that Metacinnabar could be present too in specimens from this find, our analyses have not detected any. We will send a copy of that analysis to the buyer.
