Quartz (variety amethyst) after Fluorite.
MTX56CD1: Quartz (variety amethyst) after Fluorite
In Sidi Rahal, these Quartz crystal growths (amethyst variety) that replace the walls of cubic Fluorite crystals, have slightly amethyst color tones, which is why this specimen is so unusual. Its intense color, equivalent to that of the amethysts from Brazil, gives this specimen a very high level of quality. The Magazines ‘Lapis‘ and Le Règne Minéral‘ know this, and that is why they both reviewed it as a novelty for Munich 2023. Lapis on page 40 of their edition 12/ 2023 and Le Règne Minéral in its number 174/2023, page 25
