In this case the incredible esthetics of this doubly terminated Ilvaite which seems to be resting on a bed of crystals of Hedenbergite really appeals to me. And to just to add to the party there is a band of brilliant metallic Galena as the base of the specimen.

This specimen represents a classic Italian locality for Ilvaite. It is one of the better known localities for the species, but only a very small number of specimens from it have ever been recovered and saved. The Ilvaite crystals, some terminated sharply on one end and less sharply on the other end, are highly lustrous. Small quartz crystals are associated.

In a very short time these samples became classic, not only for China but also for the rest of the world.

Crystalline mass formed of very bright black Ilvaite crystals with partial crystal faces, associated with a multitude of water-clear Quartz crystals, some of them with a truncated prism and partially covered by the Ilvaite itself. Finally, small crystalline fragments of lead-grey Galena adorn the piece. From an abandoned mine that exploited Cu-Pb-Zn minerals and which is also the type locality for two mineral species, Campigliaite and Johannsenite.

Novelty of the summer of 2021 and, in all probability, the best known so far for the species. The Imayoshiite occurs as numerous very sharp crystals with a hexagonal lenticular habit, transparent, very lustrous and colorless to cream-colored, with a single large crystal. An exceptional specimen, worthy of any museum. These specimens have been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer. On matrix, associated with small reddish brown crystals of Datolite (variety bakerite) and Fluorapophyllite-(K). Very good quality for the species.
