The most prominent crystallization on the Quartz matrix is really a single, elongated, crystal of an exceptional length. In this group there are also the typical flat crystals from Eagle’s Nest, and some others that are quite well defined octahedra.

A recent find in 2021 yielded these elegant Gold specimens. This piece shows excellent crystallization, with the dominant forms of the octahedron in highly stylized parallel growths and with distinct twinning according to the spinel law, but, above all, it is in a Quartz matrix with coatings of small Pyrite crystals, which until now has been extremely rare. The material has been carefully analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

Hook-shaped and lamellar growths of Gold (variety electrum), very elongated, doubly terminated, on matrix, with Quartz, botryoidal Malachite aggregates and lighter green Chrysocolla aggregates. These Golds are a curiosity and a rarity in collections since only a few specimens were found and for only a few months.

The piece is not especially showy but it is from a very uncommon locality. The Gold mineralization is a concentrated area of small grains on a Quartz matrix that has small Pyrite crystals and massive Sphalerite.
