Aggregate of Datolite crystals, one of them clearly dominant, with facet-like faces and very sharp edges, intense translucent luster and a soft coloration with small remnants of Quartz on the base. The left side of the specimen displays a serrated habit probably representing marks left by high temperature Calcite that has disappeared. Of high quality for the deposit, it comes from an ophite quarry in Errigoiti, Basque Country, in which pillow lavas are exploited for aggregates. The specimen belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of Northern Spain.

JMX99AP8: Datolite with Quartz

Druse of equant Datolite crystals, very rich in forms, very translucent, with good luster and soft green color, partially covered by microcrystals of Quartz. This specimen is one of the best for the locality, and comes from the collection of Andrés Jiménez Shelly and was previously in Santiago Jiménez García's.

Group of doubly terminated crystals, one of them clearly dominant, with very well defined faces and edges, on a group of white crystals of Quartz, a lot of them doubly terminated. The crystals of Datolite, translucent and bright, have the clear green color typical of most of the samples from Dalnegorsk.

From a classic locality for the species, this specimen comes from the collection of duplicates of Carles Curto Nº 1982.57, whose digital catalogue entry we will send to the buyer of the piece.

Group of Descloizite crystals formed by the dipyramid faces and lateral pinacoid, both very brilliant. Specimen shows a nice reddish brown color. In the handwritten label we can read Tsumeb as the locality, but we must advise that in those years many specimens from different deposits and localities from Namibia were mislabeled as Tsumeb.

Good group of numerous crystals. Every one of the crystals is itself a group of little crystals of delicately curved edges, a typical shape in the classic samples from Namibia. The piece seems to be stalactitic because it is hollow at its base.
