Group of translucent and very bright crystals that combine the forms of a quite flattened rhombohedron and a very short prism. An unusual Calcite whose form reminds one of a stalactite but whose crystals are transparent, not cloudy, well defined, richly endowed with multiple faces, and quite large. It is very pleasant and decorative at the same time.

A curious crystalline growth that looks like a cup. The translucent crystal progressively increases its width from its base and at its termination it formed a very pronounced and deep hollow.

Curious parallel growth of packed crystals of Calcite on a first generation of yellowish crystals of the same mineral. The crystals are geometrically very well defined and have deeply hollowed. Those late crystals are very bright, colorless and between transparent and translucent.

A floater with parallel growths of Calcite crystals, with a lot of extraordinarily flat oriented faces (this form is well known as “papierspat”). They are with small well defined Orthoclase (adularia) crystals and chlorite coatings.

They could do with a bit more luster, but the color, the sharpness of the crystals and the not so usual presence of Pyrite in the matrix made me fall in love with this piece that has been with me for many years, reminding me of those trips to Morocco so full of sunshine and adventure.
