Triplet of Weloganite crystals, a rare sodium, strontium and zirconium carbonate, white with greenish grey zones, doubly terminated, pseudohexagonal in outline, with marked growth striations along the main growth axis. Arranged on a limestone matrix completely covered by a multitude of Quartz crystals some of them stained by iron oxides. From the old Francon quarry in the heart of the city of Montreal, Canada, which was worked for aggregates.
A total of 10 type locality (TL) mineral species have been described from this deposit, including Weloganite.
