Good quality Cerussits, not so long ago, were relatively common from Touissit and Mibladen, two of the biggest classic localities in Morocco. Samples from Taouz are much more difficult to find. This one is a group of twinned Cerussite crystals with a silky aspect and excellent development on matrix.

Coatings of very sharp and lustrous microcrystals of Corkite, a rare sulfate-phosphate of lead and iron, of olive-green color, implanted on greyish green plumbogummite that is somewhat lighter than the Corkite, on a Goethite - limonite matrix.

Group of Quartz crystals with very visible phantom growths due the red Hematite inclusions. They are partially coated by an iridescent and scoriaceous Goethite patina with metallic green, blue and red dominant shades.

With a presentation different from that of other more common Mexican Mimetites, this one forms spheroidal aggregates, on a Goethite matrix, of crystals with a very acute pyramidal habit, with good terminations, with a bright luster and an intense yellow-orange color, highlighting the color contrast with the darker limonitic matrix.

Small crystals of this rare hydrated zinc phosphate: Hopeite. Crystals show very sharp faces and edges, with some internal zoning, probably inclusions of Goethite, on a Smithsonite matrix.

Vanadinite.
TF99T3: Vanadinite
Irregular aggregate of red tabular crystals with well developed pyramidal faces on one of their terminations, with the opposite termination clearly flat. They are on matrix, with botryoidal growths of Goethite and an unidentified white carbonate. The mine is a very uncommon one and it supplied a small amount of significant samples for only a short time.
The specimen has been published in the Chinese magazine ‘Mineral Lover’ on page 7 in the volume 9/2011
