Good size lenticular Calcite crystal partially dissolved and covered nearly throughout by amethyst crystals, with dark inclusions, probably Hematite, near the Calcite edges.

Quartz (variety amethyst) epitactic Calcite.
MR72AB7: Quartz (variety amethyst) epitactic Calcite
Druse of Quartz (variety amethyst) crystals, one of them clearly dominant and with a considerable size. They are coating the surfaces of a group of now missing Calcite crystals, preserving their original shape. The crystals show a neat geometric color zoning, clearer on the prism faces and deep violet on the terminations. The sample is from a not well known quarry at the classic Artigas área and where very interesting and esthetic samples are today being recovered.

Subparallel aggregates of flattened crystals on a surface of milky Quartz. The crystals which are bright and with very well defined faces and edges have a very dense and deep color with smoky tinges, especially on the terminations. It is from the historic site at the Montseny Massif where the first high quality amethysts were found decades before more recent finds. We’ll send to the buyer a digitalized copy of a single label, commonly covering a group of similar samples from the same locality.

Very unusual distorted Quartz, extra-flat and apparently with broken areas, although "in person" it is clear that all faces are complete and undamaged.

EA72AE6: Quartz (variety prase)
Very well defined spear-shaped crystals that are dipyramidal, with absent prismatic faces. They are bright with an intense green color due to inclusions, probably Actinolite and/or Hedenbergite. On the sample there is Quartz with a very different shape, probably a first growth phase, a coating or a substitution of Calcite crystals which have disappeared. The Quartz has formed parallel polycrystalline growths with flattened, almost laminar forms filling and following the empty spaces left by the earlier Calcite.
