TR88AI9: Brochantite
Brochantite specimens from Milpillas have won a well-deserved fame for their excellent quality. In this case, the idiomorphic crystals are elongated, with sharp faces and edges and a very deep green color; the matrix is partially coated by a later generation of brochantite, showing pale green fibrous crystals with satiny luster. In my opinion this locality offers the world’s best Brochantite as judged by crystal size and sharpness, deep color and high luster.
