The specimen, somewhat different from those known until now, stands out both for its size and for the intensity of its color. The precise name of the mine is not yet known, but it will surely become known with the passage of time.

A novelty in Tucson Virtual 2021. Unique fan growths, with three generations, the first being a larger crystal with a slightly smoky color visible on the back of the sample, a second, with crystals of good size and intense color, and a last phase, with smaller crystals, very sharp, translucent, with a very bright luster and an intense and uniform color. It should be noted that the color is not due to inclusions of iron oxides but is the intrinsic color of the quartz. Different from what has been seen so far from this locality.

To me it looks like it is the very complex crystallization that gives the specimen so many faces, which means that any movement creates numerous reflections.
