Group of crystals, very aerial and on matrix, of Quartz pseudomorphs after Aragonite, an unusual substitution and, in this case, also very aesthetic. The crystals have recognizable crystal shapes, and are translucent and white. The specimen comes from the Alain Martaud collection, whose label we will send to the buyer.

A novelty at Tucson 2018. Group of Quartz crystals that are transparent, bright, have cavernous forms on some of their faces and one of them a very well defined scepter. They have Chlorite inclusions and small and very bright Anatase crystals on their surfaces. Just superb!

Some of the crystals apparently lack prism faces, which has sometimes led to the erroneous belief that they are β-Quartz. The crystals, rich in inclusions, are partially covered by small white Calcite-Dolomite crystals.

Thin laminar Fluorapatite crystal included in a Quartz crystal partially coated by Siderite and Muscovite. Visible crystalline inclusions of Fluorapatite are very rare. In this the sample, approximately half of a crystal can be seen and it has concentric geometrical color zones with a dominant yellowish-green color.

We’ll send a copy of the Hematite analysis to the buyer. Due to their similarity to the samples from the Huanggang mines they can easily be confused with those.

Group of Quartz crystals with very well defined faces and one of them, clearly dominant, with polycrystalline terminations. The crystals, mostly colorless and clear, are very rich in inclusions of a clayey aspect and yellow-orange color in the terminal part. It has been said that these inclusions were Humboldtine but this has already been discredited (see: Quartz and Humboldtine? from Colombia )

Perhaps simply Quartz but it has a surprising variety of forms and morphological changes, with parallel growths on the scepter terminations, dipyramidal, with a short prism (in some cases those faces are nonexistent or poorly visible and such crystals have sometimes been erroneously described as β-Quartz). The Quartz group is very rich in inclusions and partially coated by small, white Calcite-Dolomite crystals.
