Good size lenticular Calcite crystal partially dissolved and covered nearly throughout by amethyst crystals, with dark inclusions, probably Hematite, near the Calcite edges.

EN56AL0: Quartz (variety amethyst) doubly terminated
Quartz crystals (amethyst variety), some of them doubly terminated, that grow as scepters on white Quartz crystals. The amethyst is translucent and has an intense deep color, deeper at the ends of the crystals. It is getting less and less common to find specimens from this locality, which was worked for only a brief time.

Quartz (variety amethyst) epitactic Calcite.
MR72AB7: Quartz (variety amethyst) epitactic Calcite
Druse of Quartz (variety amethyst) crystals, one of them clearly dominant and with a considerable size. They are coating the surfaces of a group of now missing Calcite crystals, preserving their original shape. The crystals show a neat geometric color zoning, clearer on the prism faces and deep violet on the terminations. The sample is from a not well known quarry at the classic Artigas área and where very interesting and esthetic samples are today being recovered.

The crystals are translucent, bright and have a diffuse color distribution, very much more intense in the central areas of the crystal. It is from an historic place where the first good quality amethyst finds were made, before the more recent workings.

The specimen comes from a site worked during construction of the AVE high speed train line, where it is currently impossible to find new quality specimens.

The most notable thing about these crystals is the way the rhombohedral faces of the termination are much larger than the prism faces. The color is intense and displays unevenly distributed zoning. The back side has re-crystallized.

Very unusual distorted Quartz, extra-flat and apparently with broken areas, although "in person" it is clear that all faces are complete and undamaged.

EA72AE6: Quartz (variety prase)
Very well defined spear-shaped crystals that are dipyramidal, with absent prismatic faces. They are bright with an intense green color due to inclusions, probably Actinolite and/or Hedenbergite. On the sample there is Quartz with a very different shape, probably a first growth phase, a coating or a substitution of Calcite crystals which have disappeared. The Quartz has formed parallel polycrystalline growths with flattened, almost laminar forms filling and following the empty spaces left by the earlier Calcite.

Full crystal, with highly profiled polycrystalline terminations with the base recrystallized as the start of a scepter growth. The specimen, transparent, bright and of a very deep and uniform smoky color, comes from a completely lost locality and is from the Daunis collection, which in the 1970s to ‘80s was a reference collection for local field collectors in the Barcelona area.

The Daunis collection was, in the 70s-80s, a reference for local field collectors in the Barcelona area.

Group of doubly terminated floater crystals, transparent and very bright, with a slightly smoky tone. An alpine classic from the collection Carles Manresa (no. 4147) whose collection entry shows that it was previously in the collection of Joaquín Folch Girona, who got it in an exchange with the Sulzbachs, Zurich, in 1950. We will send to the buyer, together with the specimen, the label and collection record of Carlos Manresa and the label and handwritten record from the Folch collection.
