Group of equant Azurite crystals, with perfectly defined faces and edges, very lustrous, and a very deep and uniform blue, with marked striations on one of the faces of the crystals and accompanied by fine acicular primary crystals of Malachite arranged in the form of a spray, with a beautiful color contrast to the Azurite, in addition to some Quartz crystals, all with remnants of a limonitic rock matrix.

The sample is from the famous Easter Pocket, found in 1994. It has sharp Azurite crystals with very well defined faces and edges. The crystals are translucent and have vivid indigo blue reflections. On matrix, with Malachite and Quartz.

Aggregates, on a limonite matrix, of small lenticular crystals of Azurite. They have an unusually vivid blue color and are coating a thick Quartz crystal, itself coated with limonite, and they are intermixed with globular growths of Malachite.

A novelty at Sainte Marie-aux-Mines 2018. Very aerial aggregate, on matrix, of crystals that have a flattened shape, are very bright with a deep color and partially coated by small equant primary Malachite crystals.
The specimen has been reviewed, photographed and published as a new discovery in the magazine ‘Mineral Up’ on page 47 of the 2019/01 edition.

Group of short prismatic Azurite crystals, one of them clearly dominant and doubly terminated, with polycrystalline surfaces on terminations and small Cerussite crystals on their surfaces. Some of the Azurite crystals are partially pseudomorphed by Malachite.

XM90MX: Azurite with Malachite, Conichalcite, Olivenite and Calcite
A matrix vug in which very sharp Azurite crystals have grown, very lustrous and with an extraordinarily vivid color, with lenticular Malachite crystals. Other minerals in this piece are Calcite, spherules of light green Conichalcite, and darker green Olivenite.

MB86AB1: Azurite with Malachite, Olivenite and Baryte
Superficial growths of transparent and very bright Azurite microcrystals that have a very intense color. They are on matrix, with intense green Malachite, acicular Olivenite microcrystals with a clearer green color, with olive shades, and with small laminar Baryte crystals. The sample is from a classic French locality, very well known by its wide variety of species, most of them “micro”.

Druse, on a limonite matrix with Quartz crystals, of bright lenticular Azurite crystalswith a very vivid color and small growths of Malachite and Calcite. The back side is also rich with crystals that are bigger, better defined and some of them more isolated or forming almost floater rosette aggregates. Different than most of the samples from this locality.

SP87AC0: Azurite with Malachite, Quartz and Hematite
Double rosette growth of flattened Azurite crystals. They are very bright, have a very deep color and are on a Quartz matrix, with botryoidal Hematite and Malachite coatings with a pale green color. As is the case with so many specimens in this collection, the sample is of great quality for the locality.

AF96AM1: Azurite with Malachite, Tennantite, Cuprite and Calcite
Apart from the quality of the Azurite crystals, very sharp, well defined, and some of them doubly terminated, translucent and shiny, along with the pseudomorphing Malachite, the specimen exhibits an interestly rich and complex paragenesis, with tetrahedral crystals of Tennantite, Cuprite and Calcite. We will send the buyer a copy of the Tennantite analysis.

JFD103AO2: Azurite with Malachite, Wulfenite and Cerussite
Nice association of Azurite, Malachite, Cerussite and Wulfenite. The quality and type of Azurite crystal shows that it is from Touissit, a locality where Azurite with such a variety of associated species was not common at all.

Very aerial aggregate of complex crystals with slightly curved faces, very bright, translucent and with a vivid, deep and uniform blue color. The sample is especially esthetic because it is crowning a matrix very rich in small acicular Malachite crystals.

Drusy growths of small lenticular Azurite crystals with a very deep color, extraordinarily bright, with small greenish-yellow Mimetite coatings and laminar yellow Wulfenite crystals. It came from a small local find in an area near Bou Bekker.

KK66M5: Azurite with Oxiplumboroméite and Calcite
Groups of doubly terminated crystals of Azurite with Calcite on a Limonite matrix, rich with small crystals of Oxiplumboroméite and small growths of Malachite. Oxiplumboroméite is known but scarcely cited at this locality, probably due to its similarity with the clays that cover much of the specimens from Touissit.
The specimen is from the James Catmur collection, whose label will be sent to the buyer.
