Group of very sharp cubes of Fluorite, one of them very large and clearly dominant. They are translucent, bright and have a yellow color with slightly greenish shades. The sample, whose edges are more transparent than the central area, is very representative of this classic Catalan locality and its crystal size is greater than usual.

Large group of globular aggregates of Fluorite crystals, with the particularity that they are formed by octahedrons if we observe them with a loupe. Apple-green and lustrous, on a porphyritic rock matrix, it comes from a significant discovery made in 2014 very close to the urban center of Barcelona, specifically in the neighboring community of Santa Coloma de Gramenet. This piece, due to its size and color, is among the best of that find.

The crystals are transparent, brilliant, and bright purple in color. On matrix, with Quartz crystals. As is often the case with this type of specimen, the back has been sawn to reduce the matrix.

The Josefa-Veneros vein yielded many fluorites and although they typically exhibit large cubes with color zoning on the edges of the crystals, rough, with dodecahedral faces and predominantly violet colors, there can be notable variations within this pattern, as in this case, in which the color is much bluer than usual, as well as its high transparency that makes it different from the usual Josefa-Veneros standards but no less beautiful for that.

Growth of small Fluorite crystals that form a large sphere. Translucent, with excellent luster and an intense and uniform dark green color, which is remarkable since the vast majority of pieces found so far in this mining district were more or less intense lilac-purple, but they are not noted for a greenish color as intense as the one shown by this specimen.

Group of cubic crystals beveled by dodecahedron faces that have polycrystalline growths. The crystals that are transparent have an intense blue color.
The sample, a classic, is from Dr. Anton Forster, a mine engineer and collaborator of Dr. Maucher at Munich University. Dr. Forster was the Geologist in Chief at La Collada when the famous samples from the Josefa-Veneros vein were collected.

A novelty at Tucson 2018. A group of Fluorite crystal cubes between translucent and transparent, with white inclusions, a very deep green color and marine-blue dichroism, clearly visible in sunlight. The locality is totally new and, even though Madagascar is a well-known mineralogical paradise, there were no more references to Fluorite occurrences other than the small crystals included in Quartz from Mandronarivo.

Exceptional specimen from a historic mine.
