A novelty at Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines 2015. An aggregate of very sharp flattened crystals that are bright with a very vivid color (even under daylight) that extraordinarily resembles the Milpillas “electric blue”. With the Azurite there are small white Barytes and Malachite aggregates. From a new find in the Oumjrane area, possibly from some of the old works of this zone, these crystals have a luster and color that is superior to the previously known azurites from Morocco. This specimen was published on the Mineralogical Record´s web page, in the ‘What’s New in the Mineral World?’ section, report #41, August 22, 2015 edition, page 5
