Very sharp Wulfenite crystals, between laminar and tabular, translucent, bright, with an intense yellow color and quadrangular phantom growths and on a Dolomite matrix. Great classic, from a historic mine.

Wulfenite with Dolomite.
MB39AA9: Wulfenite with Dolomite
Single very sharp dipyramidal Wulfenite crystal. It is translucent, very bright, has orange shades and it is on matrix, with small Dolomite crystals. A splendid miniature, a classic from Tsumeb.
The specimen has been published in the magazine ‘Mineral Up’ in the special "Wulfenites of the Caroline Martaud Collection" on page 27, number 2013/1

The main crystal, of considerable size and excellent sharpness, has a quite rough aspect due to a later coverage of different minerals, between them Dolomite and some small green crystals of Duftite.

Tabular crystals of Wulfenite with very well developed faces of the pinacoid and the dipyramid. They are between transparent and translucent, yellow in color with orange shades, very bright and on matrix.

Single Wulfenite crystal with very well defined faces and edges, very sharp geometrical zoning and with dominant brown shades. It is on matrix, with cubic Fluorite crystals, laminar shaped Baryte and small greenish Pyromorphite aggregates. An excellent sample for the locality, both for crystal size and its association with Fluorite.

Wulfenite crystals whose shape is between tabular and equant. The crystals, very well defined, have an excellent luster and very intense color. They are on a limonite matrix with small green botryoidal Mimetite.

Very well defined Wulfenite crystals, with an excellent color and luster and on matrix.
The specimen is accompanied by an old label from the “Antigua Casa Soler y Pujol” (old Soler & Pujol establishment) an antique Natural Science materials supplier from Barcelona. On the back side of the label appears a handwritten note from Mr. Folch where he was recording that he bought the specimen in 1953.

A group of laminar crystals of intense orange-yellow color, very bright and partially covered by orange Mimetite. The mine is now an American classic. The piece has an important “pedigree” because it has a label showing a double provenance: The Scott J. Williams collection, of Arizona, and the C.J. Hansen collection where the piece was originally.
