Such is the case with this piece, in which the darker-colored growth figures seem to want to show the trigonal symmetry that characterizes the species. Unusual and curious.

Complex crystal of Calcite, partially doubly terminated, of good size and with the dominant forms of the scalenohedron and terminal rhombohedral faces. Between transparent and translucent, very lustrous, colorless, with small Fluorite crystals and white Calcite crystals. Calcites of this type and with this quality are unusual in La Viesca.

TC460ND: Calcite with Fluorite and Dolomite
Group of acute scalenohedral Calcite crystals with phantom growths and polycrystalline surfaces with recrystallizations of Dolomite and Fluorite crystals. This is a very old piece, from the 1960s, and it comes from Minas de Villabona, a locality much less prolific than the better known Moscona mine. It belonged to the Casado Margolles collection and we will give the buyer of the specimen its collection card, very complete and detailed.

Doubly terminated floater Calcite crystal with dominant elongated faces and a very flattened terminal rhombohedron. Translucent, lustrous and very rich in oriented inclusions. The back is complete and exhibits a curious recrystallized growth that makes the crystal appear to be hemihedral.

Floater aggregate of crystals that have a thick tabular shape, with clear and very bright prismatic faces, with inclusions, and a greatly flattened terminal rhombohedron, transparent in the interior and whitish and translucent on their borders. We especially note the unusual morphology of the crystals and, typical for this locality, the curious “mossy” inclusions of, very probably, iron oxides.

A mine which at the time yielded a few pieces but from which soon thereafter nothing more was heard.
