Aerial group of globular aggregates of small crystals that are very bright and have a very intense green color that corresponds to the cuprian variety of this species.

Aggregate of crystals formed by very short prisms with rhombohedral terminations, translucent, very lustrous and of a uniform green color, on matrix.
We will send the specimen in its original Perky box from the Robert J. Noble collection, which also contains a label stating that the specimen was previously in the Sullivan collection, with the annotation "Tucson 1997"

Trapezohedral cuprian Smithsonite crystals, one of them clearly dominant. They are translucent, bright and have a quite intense green color. The sample is from the Desmond Sacco collection, whose label we’ll send to the buyer.

The color is between brown and yellow and their edges are bordered by botryoidal growths which are partially coated by white Hemimorphite. In spite of the fact that the Smithsonite and the Hemimorphite from this mine are well known, to our knowledge there are no references about these Smithsonite-Calcite pseudomorphs.

A novelty at St. Marie 2013. Astounding Smithsonites replacing Calcite. They show successive replacement shells indicating that the Calcite was partially replaced, some was dissolved and the next layer was attacked. Its color, its size and shape make these specimens one of the great finds of 2013. We'll send a copy of the analysis of the Smithsonite to the buyer.
