Small spheroidal aggregates of cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystals, with a color between blue and lilac that are partially coating the faces of a clear and bright Quartz crystal also partially coated by Chlorite, with small Muscovite aggregates. The upper levels of Panasqueira are currently offering surprising and pleasant novelties, with samples that are very different from what has been known from this mine.

Isolated globular growths of Fluorite, translucent, with dominant yellow tones on a basalt matrix coated with Quartz and grey Opal.
The specimen is from the Casado Margolles collection (reg. FRM 38), whose label we will send to the buyer.

FT47F5: Fluorite with Quartz and Orthoclase
At the top of the specimen there is a very aerial pink Fluorite, which is part of a group of octahedral crystals that sit on the typical matrix for the locality: light pink Orthoclase along with smoky Quartz and Clinochlore. Very unusual and elegant = a typical Jan Buma specimen. It also has a label, numbered 353, from the Herbert P. Obodda collection, which is where he got it.
The specimen's photo has been reviewed and published in the magazine ‘Rocks & Minerals’ on page 141 in the volume 88, number 2, Mar/Apr 2013

Very sharp crystals of Fluorite, transparent and lustrous, with an intense and uniform yellow color and with overgrowths on the crystal faces. They are partially covered by small doubly terminated Quartz crystals and implanted on a matrix covered by very dark, almost black, lenticular microcrystals of Siderite.

Fluorite crystal formed by the well balanced cube and dodecahedron faces. Its exterior is pale blue and it has a deep violet octahedral center and white inclusions. The crystal is implanted on a Quartz crystal with laminar Siderite and small Muscovite crystals. The upper levels of Panasqueira are currently offering surprising and pleasant novelties, with samples that are very different from what has been known from this mine.

Group of cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystals coated by a second generation forming white globular growths of the same mineral. They are on a matrix of Quartz crystals, showing very well defined corrosion shapes, and are with aggregates of lenticular Siderite crystals. The globular Fluorite has been analyzed and we’ll send a copy of the analysis to the buyer. The sample previously was on the collections of Christophe Lucas and Jacques Maupas.
