Group of highly profiled scalenohedral Calcite crystals, one of them clearly dominant and doubly terminated, translucent, with very good luster and size, and with an unusual appearance for the locality, from which no such individual large Calcite scalenohedra are common.
The specimen comes from the Miguel David Martínez collection (nº. 281), whose label we will send to the buyer.

Group of Calcite crystals with very well defined faces and edges and with the clearly dominant scalenohedron but very rich in other minor forms. The crystals are of great quality and are transparent and very bright.

The crystal, very large for the locality, combines a prism and a terminal rhombohedron, with very well defined polycrystalline faces. I It is translucent and bright with a very intense and uniform pink color. There is a small bit of Sphalerite at its base.

Group of very elongated Calcite crystals with a very acute pyramidal habit. They are lustrous, translucent and of an intense and uniform honey color, with fine white coatings of more Calcite itself.

A scalenohedral Calcite crystal partially doubly terminated, with polycrystalline growths at its base. It is very sharp and large, between translucent and transparent and has a very intense, deep uniform color. A great French classic.
The sample is with a label from the Stoppani collection that we’ll send to the buyer. As is the case with so many specimens in this collection, the sample is of great quality for the locality.

A novelty at Tucson 2017. Parallel growths of thick lenticular Calcite crystals with very well defined faces and edges. They are clear pink colored and coated by dark brown manganese oxides. There is a second botryoidal Calcite growth with a lovely pastel-pink color.

Druse of complex Calcite crystals with dominant scalenohedron faces, transparent, shiny, and with reddish inclusions of Hematite. A great English classic, really old and with an unusual pedigree, with two labels that detail much of its history.
It came from the collection of Francis Butler, who in 1890 sold it to the British Museum in London, which gave it the collection number BM65723, after which it passed on to the Leif Engman collection.
