The Sphalerites from China are very similar to the ones from Aliva, Spain, but normally people say that their transparency and brilliance is not as good. Exceptionally in a few cases the quality is very similar or maybe even better than the Spanish ones. That is the case with this beautiful specimen, and we believe that the photo clearly shows its great quality, and how it stands out from the white Quartz matrix.
The specimen has been published in the book 'China', by Berthold Ottens, on page 362
