TURT

Turt, Satu Mare. This was not really a new locality, as the mine has been active for many years. But what was new was that they began to find high quality specimens in this mine. That said, the finds were fairly infrequent and depended on the area of the mine being worked.

Quartz

TN96G4: Even considering that the principal interest of this big group of Quartz crystals is centered on the locality, worldwide famous by its gold telluride and actually re-exploited, we must also emphasize the morphology of the group and of the crystals, which on their top faces have a supremacy of one of the rhombohedrons, giving a first appearance that they terminate only with three faces instead of the usual six.
Rosia Montana, Apuseni Mountains, Alba County, Transylvania  Romania (12/2001)
