JFD197AP4: Calcite variety is not lacking in the Moscona Mine. Among so many, there is always one that for one reason or another attracts more attention. Such is the case with this piece, in which the darker-colored growth figures seem to want to show the trigonal symmetry that characterizes the species. Unusual and curious.

JFD198AP4: With its rich parageneses, the Carlés Mine was, during its active years, yielding a great variety of mineral species, with a predominance of piroxenes. This piece is such a specimen, with Ferro-actinolite in brilliant crystals, the 'uralite' pseudomorphing pyroxenes and a Plagioclase Feldspar which, together with massive Pyrite, completes the combo.

JFD199AP4: Quartz veins crop out on the surface of the ground in the Alkiza area, and although they do not usually have large crystals, they can be clean and lustrous. Among the ones I have seen, I chose this one because of the quality of the crystals, very transparent, and because the crystals are a little more separated from each other than is usual there.

JFD200AP4: As those familiar with the deposit know, Panasqueira pyrites can be very good. This piece is a good example of this, with the crystal aggregate forming a very aerial pineapple on a Quartz matrix completely covered by small Calcite-Dolomite crystals and with the mold of another Quartz crystal on the back.
Everything is quite perfect, without any dings, which is not very common in Panasqueira where, due to the operating conditions, it is very difficult to prevent pieces from being damaged.
Luminous and showy, a very good Pyrite.

JFD201AP4: Bou Bekker is reputed to be Touissit's 'little brother' although some of its specimens can be of very high quality, especially from an aesthetic point of view.
In the case of this old specimen, the Azurite has a wonderful color that contrasts very well with the green of the Malachite.

LRX53AP4: Small twinned crystals of Sphalerite, translucent and very lustrous, bordered by groups of white lamellar Baryte crystals.

ERB46AP4: Great specimen, both for its size and for being very unusual, with very sharp Baryte crystals, between tabular and lamellar, and totally different from the classic ones from this deposit. In addition, the crystals are covered by very unusual orange Sphalerite crystals (analyzed) which form globular groups.
The specimen undoubtedly owes its rarity to the fact that it is very old and comes from the collection of Pierre-Marie Guy, who was the one who acquired it from the miner Robert Guy.

EFB16AP4: Very aerial coraloidal growths of slightly bluish green Aragonite that coexist with areas of white Aragonite. These specimens are French classics, although rarely seen. This one is old and has a more intense color than usual for specimens from this locality, with an important size and many growth figures.
It comes from the collection of Pierre-Marie Guy, who was the one who found it in 1964 in the 'Roman gallery of Arrigas'

They are translucent, lustrous, and have coatings of lamellar Hematite crystals and inclusions of the same mineral with an intense red color. They are associated with small white Calcite crystals.

EFP1AP4: Curious growth of Fluorite: a complete floater crystal with a very flattened and elongated morphology, with very distinct spinel-law twinning. The crystal is between transparent and translucent, very lustrous, and has concentric geometric color zoning. It is on matrix, with small Calcite crystals.

ELE90AP4: Spheroidal aggregates of lustrous Chalcopyrite crystals, bordered by a growth of Calcite crystals formed in two phases: the first as dark scalenohedral crystals and the second in the form of coatings of small white crystals. One of the most aesthetic pieces from the find.
