JFD182AP2: The great classics are always great classics!
Even though it is not a top piece, more than anything because of the size of the crystal, it is a Dolomite from 'el pozo' in matrix, undamaged, twinned and has that special 'light', that transparency and luster of the best dolomites from Eugui, those of 'el pozo'

JFD183AP2: The blue barytes from the Moscona mine are so appreciated... above all in the past when the mine had not yet yielded so much material, and, why not say it, because of the transparency and color of those early blue barytes, which were, in my opinion, better than most that came out later. Pretty and elegant was what I expected back then to get with a blue baryte from Moscona and this one served me well.

JFD184AP2: From much quantity can come quality. Of all the thousands of pieces that we have all seen these years from the Moscona mine, some stand out. This one, due to the color and the edges of the cubes of Fluorite bordered by transparent Baryte crystals, is a joy.
It was in a very special collection, its previous owner knew what he was doing.

JFD185AP2: For a long time I was looking for a piece with Topaz that was worthy of Panasqueira, and I was really happy when I got this specimen with its Fluorite, its Siderite and even its small elongated Fluorapatite crystal. Later, in more modern times, more topazes came out, but that is another story.

JFD186AP2: On my first 'exploratory' trip in 1986 I crossed all of Morocco, from Oujda to Agadir, in a Moroccan car with three Moroccans and me in the car. The experience was unforgettable, I learned a lot and got Hepatitis A. The best thing about the trip (despite the headaches of getting these specimens): a lot of good erythrites from the Bou Azzer Mine, of which I was especially proud of this one, and kept it.

MBA56AP2: Multiple twin of sharp shiny Cerussite crystals, flattened, between transparent and translucent. The specimen, from a mine well known for its pyromorphites but in which quality cerussites are rare, comes from the collection of Thomas P. Moore and we will send it to the buyer with its original Perky box.

EZR99AP2: Scalenohedral crystals of Calcite, one of them clearly dominant, accompanied by leafy aggregates of Copper surrounding the Calcite crystals externally but with the particularity that other copper crystals are included within the scalenohedrons of Calcite, giving them the reddish color so characteristic of this type of specimen, an American classic.

TCX90AP2: Groups of short and very sharp prismatic crystals of Creedite, between transparent and translucent, with a light and uniform lilac color, on matrix. Specimens with this tone and quality are very rare in this Mexican mine.

MCR66AP2: Cobaltite crystal on matrix, aerial, with well defined faces and edges, metallic luster and cubic morphology. Note the locality of origin of the piece, which is not as well known as the classic Swedish locality of Hakansboda but which, although less prolific, is one of the few localities that can be compared in quality with that of the specimens from Sweden. Comes from the Thomas P. Moore collection and we will ship it to the buyer in its original Perky box.

ERB50AP2: Druse formed of Pyromorphite crystals with a uniform apple-green color and good luster, with doubly terminated crystals with a prismatic habit and flat terminations, and with small traces of matrix at the base and back of the piece.
A glory of the past, very representative of the best that the San Andrés Mine produced.

Druse of transparent crystals of Fluorite with very good luster and an intense color and with rims and inclusions of Pyrite microcrystals. Specimens from this find show characteristics somewhat different from those previously known, especially the luster and intensity of color.

NNM37AP2: From a May 2022 find in a new area, which has been called coquera del agua, in the well-known Llamas Quarry. The crystals of Fluorite on this specimen have a cubic shape beveled by the rhombododecahedron, are very transparent and lustrous, with a light and uniform lilac color, on matrix, with Quartz.

NNE16AP2: From a May 2022 find in a new area, which has been called coquera del agua, in the well-known Llamas Quarry. The crystals of Fluorite on this specimen have a cubic shape beveled by the rhombododecahedron, and are extraordinarily transparent and lustrous. They are a uniform light purple in color, on matrix, with small scalenohedral Calcite crystals.

ELX86AP2: Groups of very sharp Fluorite crystals with a cubic shape, between transparent and translucent, with very good luster and an extraordinarily intense and vivid yellow color. In matrix, with small Quartz crystals. The specimen comes from Les Escauffages, a very specific zone in the well-known locality of Valzergues, famous for the quality of its specimens.

TLM16AP2: Aggregate of Baryte crystals with a tabular habit, one of them clearly dominant and doubly terminated, with a slight bluish color and more transparent areas towards the termination of the crystal. The specimen has a somewhat higher quality than what is usually found in that mine, where Baryte is not the most prominent species.
This specimen comes from the collection of Alain Martaud whose label we will send to the buyer.

ERM68AP2: Flattened lenticular Siderite crystals, translucent, lustrous, and light brown in color, uniform, with golden tones. On matrix, with white lenticular Calcite crystals and small Pyrite crystals.

THV27AP2: Druse of deep black, twinned Sphalerite crystals with the dominant forms of the tetrahedron, with intense luster, on matrix, with white lenticular Calcite crystals and Pyrite crystals with iridescent oxide patinas and small Galena crystals.
The specimen comes from Ferat Voca, a former worker in this classic mine.

TLB48AP2: Coatings of Celestine crystals with elongated prismatic shape, between transparent and translucent, with very good luster and a snow-white color, that cover a group of thick Sulphur crystals. A quality Italian classic.

BRM27AP2: Pyromorphite crystals, on matrix, with very sharp crystal forms, lustrous, and showing two different phases, one of them with an intense green color and the other with crystals of lesser size and yellow tones. The specimen, a rarity, comes from an important European collection.

TFL50AP2: Floater group of Vanadinite crystals, very sharp, and with colors that range from orange to reddish, with parallel and polycrystalline growths. With minor remnants of manganese oxides on the back of the piece, it has an unusual quality for the deposit.

Specimen size: 2.3 × 1.6 × 1.5 cm = 0.91” × 0.63” × 0.59”

TRA87AP2: Parallel growth of Elbaite crystals with very sharp crystal forms and very rich in terminal faces. Transparent, with the clarity characteristic of this locality, with good luster and a clear color zoning, green in much of the prism and even the top, but pinkish at the base.

TBM99AP2: Very sharp Dioptase crystals, many of them doubly terminated, translucent, with a bright luster and very deep color and implanted on a matrix covered with microcrystals of yellow Mimetite. This specimen was collected by Pierre Vincent and was in his collection
The Mimetite has been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

Specimen size: 5.9 × 4.9 × 2.3 cm = 2.32” × 1.93” × 0.91”

Main crystal size: 0.8 × 0.3 cm = 0.31” × 0.12”

TPA99AP2: Druse of very lustrous equant crystals of Dioptase, with a very vivid color and with lamellar crystals of Wulfenite with coatings of Pyromorphite microcrystals.
The Pyromorphite has been analyzed and the results were a surprise because until now these coatings had been called Cerussite! We will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

TBM98AP2: Druse, on matrix, of Hemimorphite crystals with recognizable crystal shapes, translucent and pale blue. From a classic locality, but one with few quality specimens.

TTM49AP2: Druse of very sharp and lustrous Azurite crystals with an acute prismatic shape, translucent, and on matrix.
A good Tsumeb classic.

EZR90AP2: Sharp and elongated crystals of Brazilianite, one of them clearly dominant and perfectly terminated, transparent, with a color between yellow and greenish and an intense luster, in Albite matrix. Coming from the well-known pegmatite region of Aimores in Brazil, one of the classic deposits for this type of specimen.

EHJ50AP2: Group of sharp and profiled crystals of Brazilianite, some of them very rich in faces and terminations, others partially doubly terminated. Yellowish and lustrous, with some translucent crystals and on a matrix of white Albite. From the well-known pegmatite region of Aimores in Brazil, one of the classic deposits for this type of specimen.

ELL93AP2: Very aerial polycrystalline growth of Quartz (pink quartz variety) with transparent crystals, very lustrous and deep pink, which seem to grow around an isolated and centered crystal of transparent Quartz (variety smoky quartz).
A classic, fine and elegant Brazilian specimen.

The specific area in the locality where the discovery took place has now been covered over, so no new finds are expected at that specific location.

TLP28AP2: Growth on Calcite matrix of rhombododecahedral crystals of Lazurite, of great size for the deposit. The crystal forms are not perfect, but are sharp, with an intense and vivid color.

EXX67AP2: Flattened prismatic Diaspore crystal, large, transparent to translucent, with bright luster and an intense greenish yellow color and with steps at the base of the crystal and on a specific area of the rear where it is difficult to know whether they are stepped growth or cleavages. Its terminations are covered by Ilmenite crystals, with Rutile microcrystals and leafy aggregates of Margarite.
The Ilmenite has been analyzed and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.
