The sample is from the famous find in November, 2011, when Mottramite was firstly noted in a collectible form at Mapimí. We will provide a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

TB98AJ0: Smithsonite replacing an aggregate of scalenohedral Calcite crystals that show successive replacement shells with phantom growths, indicating that the Calcite was partially replaced, some was dissolved, and the external shell was completely substituted by greenish-yellow Smithsonite. We will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.

It is translucent to transparent, bright, and has a uniform yellow color with slightly orange shades. The sample is from the most classic Spanish locality for Scheelite and this one has been recently found thanks to local prospector’s diggings.

The sample, found in recent workings at the La Viesca area, is very different from the usual at this big mine.
