TF48AL1: Very 3-dimensional growth of Malachite pseudomorphing equidimensional crystals of Azurite, with very well defined faces and edges, intense color, on matrix. Before the Azurite started altering to Malachite a thin dark coating, probably Cuprite, formed on the faces of the crystals, as suggested by the mineralogy of the locality and some of the crystalline forms, apparently octahedral, present in the matrix.
This great quality piece comes from the collection of Rock H. Currier (No. 4667) whose label we will send to the buyer.

They have very well defined faces and edges, good terminal faces and an intense luster between crystalline and silky. It exhibits greater transparency than usual in specimens from this area and a beautiful gray-green color with bluish tints. From a recent find, the quality is also far superior to what is generally known from the St. Lawrence County area.
The crystal was reinforced, already at origin, in two spots on the prism to avoid its possible separation.
