MB92AK7: Stalactitic growths of rhombohedral microcrystals of Rhodochrosite, intense pink, that overgrew another mineral which dissolved away, probably Calcite. On the back of the specimen there are small growths of Pyrite. Unusual and with a different presentation from the more usual Rhodochrosites from Cavnic.

ED26Z4: Aggregate of tabular Baryte crystals, between translucent and transparent, very bright and with an intense and uniform yellow color. The crystals on the base of the aggregate have a dark gray color due to the presence of Boulangerite (variety plumosite) inclusions. A great museum piece, currently very difficult to obtain due to the closure of all the mines in Baia Mare mining area.

SY28AD6: Translucent botryoidal and spheroidal Rhodochrosite growths that have a very intense and uniform color and are coating a surface of Quartz crystals on a finely banded matrix of Rhodochrosite and Alabandite. An European classic. As is the case with so many specimens in this collection, the sample is of great quality for the locality.

MC56Z9: Very sharp and bright cubo-octahedral Galena crystals on a matrix of small Pyrite crystals, with white Calcite. The Pyrite aggregate has a curious hood-like shape that probably corresponds to the surface of an old lost scalenohedral Calcite crystal.

Turt, Satu Mare. This was not really a new locality, as the mine has been active for many years. But what was new was that they began to find high quality specimens in this mine. That said, the finds were fairly infrequent and depended on the area of the mine being worked.

LC87AE5: Double rosette-like growth of white lenticular Calcite crystals on matrix, formed by extremely flattened rhombohedra and with curved edges. A Romanian classic from a closed mine.

TR89AF6: Druse of very well defined rhombohedral Siderite crystals which are cast pseudomorphs after Calcite. During the process of the substitution, wall-like external shells were left behind. The siderite casts are on matrix, with small Pyrite crystals.
The sample is from the Vallecillo collection, Madrid.
