Gold with Quartz

NR92AK0: Arborescent growth of native Gold crystals, some of them with a laminar habit and others clearly octahedral, very bright, on matrix and with Quartz. The light color and the frequent presence in the deposit of the electrum variety (rich in silver) makes us think that it is indeed this variety.
The sample comes from the collection of Ignacio Gaspar whose file we will send to the buyer.
Rosia Montana, Apuseni Mountains, Apuseni District, Alba, Transylvania  Romania

Specimen size: 6 × 4.8 × 2.6 cm = 2.4” × 1.9” × 1.0”

Main crystal size: 0.3 × 0.3 cm = 0.1” × 0.1”

TURT

Turt, Satu Mare. This was not really a new locality, as the mine has been active for many years. But what was new was that they began to find high quality specimens in this mine. That said, the finds were fairly infrequent and depended on the area of the mine being worked.
