Calcita with Fluorite and Quartz
Calcita with Fluorite and Quartz.
Calcita with Fluorite and Quartz.

NG46F7: Calcite is not so common in this Quarry. In this case we have a quite large, rounded crystal of Calcite on the typical matrix of Fluorite and Quartz, although in this case the Fluorite is colorless. Curiously the Calcite is intensely yellow-orange near the rear, almost certainly due to the presence of oxides that were in the iron rich fluids from which it formed.
