Cinnabar, Quartz, Calcite, Gypsum
Cinnabar, Quartz, Calcite, Gypsum. Cinnabar, Quartz, Calcite, Gypsum.

9TC12: A novelty at Tucson 2020. Cinnabar crystals with a dominant rhombohedral habit and with minor other crystal forms, translucent, extraordinarily lustrous and with a very vivid color, on a white saccharoidal Gypsum matrix, along with small crystals of Calcite and Quartz. The specimen comes from a recent find. It was carefully analyzed and determined to be Cinnabar and, despite the fact that it has been said that there could also be Metacinabar in specimens from this find, our analyses have not detected any. We will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.
