Aggregate of very sharp Azurite crystals, one of them clearly dominant. These crystals, between translucent and transparent, are very bright and have the extraordinarily deep and vivid blue color (“electric blue”) typical of the best samples from Milpillas and they are implanted on a rough Malachite band coating the matrix. The esthetic blue-green contrast between Azurite and Malachite is not too common at Milpillas.

The aggregate is partially covered on the back by aggregates of fibrous Malachite crystals with a silky luster, very characteristic of the famous Milpillas vug that yielded such isolated crystals with this lenticular habit and with fibrous Malachite on the back of most of that vug's specimens.
