Aggregate of Calcite crystals, very rich with faces and whose length is very much larger than usual for this quarry. The crystals show predominant scalenohedron and rhombohedron forms with slight curvatures on their faces and edges. They are colorless and between translucent and transparent.

Druse of very sharp scalenohedral Calcite crystals, transparent, with good luster and an intense yellow color with iridescence. Spheroidal Calcite with concentric growths. The spheres have a yellow color and are on a basalt matrix. Very similar to those from Montalto di Castro, the classic Italian locality, but this one is from the Puy de Dôme area.
