MTR89AO0: Quartz perimorphic of Calcite
Druse of Calcite and Quartz crystals with one much larger crystal that was once a Calcite scalenohedron, completely hollow and replaced by microcrystalline Quartz that preserves the perfectly sharp forms of the previously existing Calcite. The application of a strong light source shows that the crystal is completely empty inside.

The crystal has polycrystalline surfaces with the typical spindled shape of the samples from this locality. The sample is very aerial and esthetic on a matrix very rich with small crystals of Andradite.

The crystal is large, very aerial, has good color and brilliance. It stands out from the matrix, and has the typical widening for prase Quartz from this locality. The matrix has other small prase Quartz crystals as well as small Andradite crystals.

Triplet of Quartz (amethyst variety) scepter crystals on Quartz (smoky variety) crystals with well-defined faces and edges and an intense amethyst hue on the crystal termination. A curiosity, since the specimen comes from an abandoned locality that has now been converted into an amusement park.

RE86R0: Quartz with Actinolite
Doubly terminated crystal that has one of its terminations single and the opposite polycrystalline. The sample shows curious naturally corroded areas on most of its faces. In addition, a small ball of Actinolite, outside and inside the Quartz. The locality is an European classic.

A novelty at Tucson 2018. Group of Quartz crystals that are transparent, bright, have cavernous forms on some of their faces and one of them a very well defined scepter. They have Chlorite inclusions and small and very bright Anatase crystals on their surfaces. Just superb!

NZ46E6: Quartz with Arsenopyrite & inclusions
Very transparent crystals of Quartz. So you can see the well-defined crystals of Arsenopyrite and sprays of Mica inside it. They were trapped in it as the Quartz grew. The Quartz itself is a floater (with a recrystallized base) and has a totally undamaged tip, which is not that common in specimens from Panasqueira given the way they are collected. On the outside there are similar minerals to those inside: Mica and Arsenopyrite.
