EA87AE5: Quartz after Calcite with Sphalerite and Pyrite
Perimorph growths of small white Quartz crystal coatings over disappeared Calcite crystals that had very sharp rhombohedral forms. On the back on the sample groups of Pyrite micro-crystals and twinned Sphalerite crystals have grown. The sample is from a very poorly known mine, far from the Maramures area.

SV3120ETX: Quartz after Fluorite
Not something new, but with this delicate color and amazing architecture these Quartz/Fluorite pseudomorphs caught my attention at Sainte Marie 2023 for being so different from what was known before. The Sidi Rahal area seems to be a source of unimaginable structures that only Nature knows how to create.

XM2160NQA: Quartz after fossil
Quartz crystals of intense luster cover a hemispherical cavity corresponding to an ancient fossil, probably a bivalve, embedded in a matrix of marly rock formed in a lagoon. These Quartz-filled vugs are very difficult to get today since the locality is now protected and so specimens can only be obtained from old collections, such as that of Santiago Jiménez García in this case.

TM31W1: Quartz after Helvine with Fluorite and smoky Quartz
Perimorphic growth of Quartz overlying a tetrahedral crystal, crystal which was probably Helvine, whose morphology, very neat, remains after the process of coating. The crystal is very aerial, standing on a group of smoky Quartz crystals, with a dodecahedral crystal of Fluorite and it is completely hollow. Though it appears so, the hole on a vertex of the crystal is not a break, but a shape of dissolution, as the detailed photo neatly shows.

FQ46G6: Quartz after Octahedral Fluorite
In a first view, as a Quartz, it looks rare. And it is rare, because it has the form of octahedral Fluorite, previously existing and substituted by the Quartz. More curious is to observe that the surface is cryptocrystalline Quartz (Chalcedony) but the core of the octahedron, where Fluorite primarily was, is hollow and consists of little geodes covered by Quartz crystals.
