Group of doubly terminated scepter crystals of Quartz (amethyst variety), one of them clearly dominant, with well-defined faces and edges, translucent and with an intense and deep color, denser at the crystal ends. It is becoming less and less common to find specimens from this locality, where work was done for only a very short time.

Amethyst is a relative rarity for the locality, so only a few specimens were obtained. This one comes from the collection of Andrés Jiménez Shelly and previously belonged to Martín Oliete Fontela.

Obtained at Ste. Marie 2022 Group of Quartz crystals with scepter-shaped growths and very sharp crystal forms, with a relatively short prism, translucent and with a violet color with different shades depending on the area of the crystal, with inclusions. On matrix, edged by small crystals of white Quartz. The specimen comes from a find made in a locality virtually unknown to date.

Group of transparent and bright crystals, some with a good length. Color zoning is present in some crystals and the color more dense and uniform in others, and with phantom growths. One of those not plentiful non-Spanish samples from the Daunis collection.

JFD12AN5: Quartz (variety amethyst)
Quartz (variety amethyst) is not rare in the mining districts of Murcia, but the quality is usually not very high. Perhaps the least known locality is the one located on the Cerro del Águila, from which came thick crystals, somewhat more intense in color than the better known ones in the Los Pajaritos Ravine area. This one is a good example of this and despite the fact that the images may appear to show a damaged side of the tip, it is in reality a ribbed shape of natural origin.

The color is selectively distributed, with the prism faces being practically colorless, slightly reddish colors on the pyramidal faces, and intense violet concentrated mainly around the terminal edges. The specimen comes from a classic American locality.
