MA16M9: Pyromorphite
A novelty of Tucson 2009. Globular growths of barreled crystals of good luster and yellowish green color. The sample is from a recent find in a locality hitherto little known.
This specimen was photographed for the ‘Sainte-Marie Show 2009’ section of the magazine ‘Minéraux et Fossiles’ and appears on page 18 of number 383.

TF39: Pyromorphite
A great oldie from Les Farges. Although usually we expect really green Pyromorphite from this locality, some other ones with very interesting colors appear from time to time, such as this one which is intensely brown with yellow tips. It is a floater, complete and its form is as nice as the photo suggests.

Real Les Farges green in this specimen. Form, color, luster, perfection: all perfect in this unquestionable specimen. The collector who buys this one will always be happy with it, in my opinion.

TH16H6: Pyromorphite
Magnificent and unusual greenish-yellow color of the prismatic crystals, very sharp and bright and having perfect flat terminations. The esthetics of this miniature is emphasized by the contrast between the color of the crystals and the matrix.

The sample forms arborescent growths of crystals with hopper terminations. They have the deep green color that made famous the Pyromorphite from this locality.

Group of well developed prismatic crystals with hollow terminations and deep green color (Les Farges green) and on matrix. A good French classic.

VE50Y5: Pyromorphite
Irregular aggregate of prismatic crystals, a lot of them doubly terminated. The crystals , with slightly curved faces and edges, have an intense luster, olive-green color, which is typical on some of the samples from Les Farges, and a vivid yellow color on the terminal faces. An excellent French classic.

TV50X7: Pyromorphite
Flattened parallel growths and very well defined crystals with good terminations and geometrical color zoning, clearer at the crystal terminations. There are two different shades of color on the sample, deep and uniform green on most on them and yellowish green in some minor areas.

Very aerial group of prismatic crystals, most of them doubly terminated, slightly tapered, of green color zoned on the terminations , where they are clearer. A great European classic.

Bundled aggregates of prismatic crystals with hollow terminations. They have a very deep and uniform green color. An excellent classic, of great quality, from Les Farges.

RP76J7: Pyromorphite
Druse of small prismatic crystals, very well defined and of an excellent green color. The locality is very rare and very unusual in collections. It was purchased by Sr. Folch in 1925.

TA96M3: Pyromorphite
Excellent miniature. Crystals shows a better brilliance than usual for the locality. Specimen is formed by a group of crystals with very sharp faces and edges, excellent terminations and a very aerial shape.
The specimen is from the Thomas P. Moore collection and we’ll send the label to the buyer.

The sample is from a locality very rarely represented in collections. The crystals have good color, are on Quartz matrix, are very well defined, and most of them are doubly terminated.

Its habit and color, very distinctive, make this find unmistakable. It has become a Spanish classic. This specimen comes from a first selection of the specimens when they were found.

As well as being much greener than other specimens from this mine this specimen has its own special history. Jordi bought it during the 1994 Munich show from a German collector, but then the following year a major find was made at the same mine. So while the German guy had the right idea, in the end other collectors made the killer find - that's life I guess.
