TLH96AP9: Pyrite with Hematite
Complete floater crystal of Pyrite with the dominant crystal forms of the positive pyritohedron, identified by the direction of the fine striations on its faces, and truncated by small octahedral faces. The crystal exhibits a deep striation in its lower part left by lamellar crystals of Hematite, some of which are still present on the specimen and comes from the Moutet collection, from Marseille. We will send the buyer, together with the specimen, a label from the prestigious Deyrolle house in Paris where Moutet bought it many years ago.

TFF49AN4: Pyrite with Hematite
Very sharp Pyrite crystal with the dominant crystal forms of the pyritohedron, very lustrous, on a matrix of specular Hematite. This crystal has the crystallographic peculiarity of being a negative pyritohedron, a very rare form that is defined by the direction of the fine striations on the faces, perpendicular to those of the much more common positive pyritohedron.

Very sharp pyritohedral crystal with very well defined faces and edges, very bright and on a matrix of micaceous Hematite. The crystal has a crystallographic particularity: it is a negative pyritohedron, a very rare form on Pyrite, defined by the orientation of its fine striations on the faces perpendicular to those on the very much more common positive pyritohedron.

MQ28AL3: Pyrite with Quartz
Group of cubic Pyrite crystals modified by pyritohedron faces, with polycrystalline growths and slight curvatures of the edges, on a Quartz matrix. Despite being such a common mineral, Pyrites of this quality are not so common in Panasqueira.

Complex Pyrite crystal, very rich in faces, with the dominant cube beveled by a pyritohedron and other minor forms. It is implanted on an aggregate of Quartz crystals. The sample is really esthetic because the Pyrite crystal is isolated and has a very balanced position on the matrix.

The locality of origin is a gold mine that produces few samples for collectors. In this case the Pyrite forms a very aerial group of cubic crystals with polycrystalline growths on a group of doubly terminated crystals of Quartz.

A novelty at St. Marie 2012. Aggregate of cubic crystals of Pyrite with polycrystalline growths on their faces. They are very bright and have curved faces and edges and skeletal forms on the back side that reveal holes left by former crystals, probably Baryte.

Group of very sharp and shiny Pyrite crystals showing cube and pentadodecahedron faces, some with marked striations, together with groups of water-clear Quartz crystals arranged in divergent habit. The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world, and for many years it provided, and still provides, exceptional pieces of sulphides, as shown by this specimen that comes from the Ferat Voca collection.

TQ96J3: Pyrite with Quartz and Sphalerite
Exceptionally complex crystals, very rich in faces, very bright, implanted on a druse of Quartz and partially covered by Sphalerite. In this case the Sphalerite is very fluorescent, which is uncommon. We analyzed it and the result shows that the Sphalerite is manganese rich, so that could be the reason for its fluorescence. We'll send this analysis to the buyer of the specimen.
