An old sample, very attractive, in which the Malachite forms crystals of curved edges and faces giving them a nearly spherical shape. The esthetics of the piece is enhanced by the strong contrast of color between the Malachite and the lighter matrix.

MTF66CD5: Malachite after Azurite
Group of Malachite pseudomorphs with two different habits, one with thin, quadratic tabular crystals of what could perhaps have been Baryte, and the other with more elongated and thinner crystals of what perhaps could have been Azurite. Implanted on a limonitic rock matrix. The specimen comes from the Tazalarht mining district in Morocco, from a relatively recent discovery.
