SV260MFE: Hematite with Quartz
Curious rosette-like growth of lamellar crystals, lustrous and very finely scaly, of Hematite displaying two well-differentiated geometric growths, a triangular central earlier growth and a spherical later perimeter. Quartz crystals are found partially disseminated between the layers of Hematite crystals.

The sample is especially attractive due the contrast between the thin and sharp forms of the rosette aggregates of the laminar Hematite crystals, very bright, and the rounded outlines of the aggregates of white Quartz crystals with the “artichoke-like” shape.

Group of tabular crystals of neat hexagonal shape with small white crystals of Quartz. The sample is from an old find thirty years ago and can be considered among the best for the locality, not well known.

Obtained at Munich 2022 Parallel growths of lamellar crystals of Hematite, very sharp, with a fine growth contact on one of the edges that may appear broken, but is not, sitting on a matrix of Quartz crystals (smoky variety) Note the precision with which the location of discovery is given.

We will send the specimen, which comes from the Robert J. Noble collection, in its original Perky box from that collection, which also contains the label, which shows that it was previously in the Frank Melanson collection.

TBL90CD5: Hematite with Rutile
Epitaxial growths of twinned Rutile crystals, lustrous and of a very deep, dark red color, on tabular Ilmenite crystals that have in turn been pseudomorphed by Rutile and Hematite. Note that the areas that may appear broken or scratched are actually re-growths, the specimen being a complete floater and perfectly crystallized.

RQ46G0: Hematite with Rutile
The specimen is a classic for Switzerland. It is floating and the most evident features are the brightness, the smoothness and sharpness of faces and edges, the presence of growth lines, and the epitaxial growth of red crystals of Rutile.
The sample was acquired in a trade with the Geneva Museum in 1947.

RJ11G8: Hematite with Rutile and adularia
Nice miniature. Tabular crystals of Hematite are very sharp and they have small red epitactic crystals of Rutile. Hematite contrasts strongly with adularia matrix. On the record card there is a note as acquired by J. Hitz, in Rauris, in 1952.

Group of lamellar Hematite crystals, large, lustrous, very sharp, with a hexagonal outline. Rich in epitaxial growths of acicular Rutile crystals with good luster and an intense red color. One of the best known from Madagascar.

TXA27AN5: Hematite with Rutile, Albite and Quartz
Aggregate of very sharp Hematite crystals between lamellar and tabular, with brilliant luster and epitaxial growths of translucent Rutile crystals, which are very lustrous too and with an intense red color. On an Albite matrix, with Quartz crystals. A Swiss classic that we will ship in its original Perky box from the Robert J. (Bob) Noble collection, which also contains the label indicating that it was previously in the Sullivan collection.
