MM47AM3: Goethite perimorphic Cerussite after Anglesite
Groups on matrix of what were originally Anglesite crystals, now pseudomorphed by Cerussite. Perimorphic Goethite has faithfully preserved the original forms of the Anglesite-Cerussite and exhibits very shiny botryoidal surfaces dominated by metallic green colors.
The specimen comes from the Ignacio Gaspar collection (number CER-57), whose label we will send to the buyer.

TM61Y7: Goethite with Calcite and Pyrite
Very well defined botryoidal, almost spheroidal, growths of grayish black Goethite with transparent Calcite crystals, with small cubic Pyrite crystals, and on matrix. The Goethite has been analyzed and we’ll send a copy of the analysis to the buyer. We regret we can not provide more precise details about the locality but, as frequently happens with Chinese material, the origin remains unknown.

EM16Z5: Goethite with Conichalcite
Small acicular Goethite crystals, very bright and with reddish reflections due to its pleochroism. They are on a matrix with Quartz crystals, some of them doubly terminated, and with small botryoidal Conichalcite aggregates. Different than most of the usual samples from the Bou Azzer area.

SV2120TMB: Goethite with Hematite and Quartz
Group of fine elongated Goethite crystals, very sharp and lustrous, in a matrix of ferruginous rock partially covered by crystalline aggregates of Hematite in the form of crusts, and disseminated Quartz crystals giving a color contrast with the oxides. The specimen, an English classic from an iron mine in Cornwall which closed in 1883, comes from the old collection of Robert-Auguste Touchon.

JFD34AN7: Goethite with Quartz
Beautiful iridescent goethites appear not only in Huelva, but also in Murcia, in the famous San Valentín Quarry. They can be very beautiful, like this one that covers Quartz crystals and in which an elongated botryoidal group seems to form a narrow bridge over the Goethite itself. From Alain Martaud's collection, I liked it when I bought it from him because it was so elegant and original.

JFD249AQ1: Goethite with Quartz and Calcite
In the 1980s-1990s little was known about these well-crystallized goethites from Tizirine-Sidi Rahal, which used to be labeled “Pyrolusite”, because their main seller, Infles Abdullah, had his basar near the Imini manganese mine. Later it was learned that the crystals were pleochroic and when analyzed were confirmed to be goethites. This fine piece comes from that glorious period, associated with a group of Calcite crystals, although Calcite, curiously, is a species that is not abundant in these vugs.

TC16MF: Gold
From a very recent find in the area of Western Sahara in Morocco, with the specific location yet to be determined, this specimen of Gold, very well crystallized and with brilliant luster, displays a sharply defined morphology, with the dominant forms of the octahedron in highly stylized parallel growths, distinctly twinned according to the spinel law and with curious hooked ends. We will see what the future of the locality holds for these high quality absolute novelties. This material has been carefully analyzed, and we will send a copy of the analysis to the buyer.
