Botryoidal and stalactitic Goethite growths with dappled metallic iridescences with greenish, yellowish and reddish dominant shades. The sample is from a punctual find in a mine without acces currently, so, likely no new samples will be obtained from there.

XM2230NXY: Goethite
Botryoidal aggregate formed of Goethite crystals with a velvety luster and marked iridescence dominated by blue and mauve, on a limonite matrix. A great classic of Basque iron mining from La Arboleda, where the 'alirón' ('all iron all iron') was sung for the first time. The specimen belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of northern Spain.

Botryoidal Goethite growths with very fine surfaces, very shiny and dense black in color. The specimen, from one of the great classical Spanish iron ore deposits, comes from the Pedro Goy collection, whose very detailed catalogue entry will be sent to the buyer.

MN37AL4: Goethite
Compared to other Goethites from southern Spain, those from the La Lapilla Mine stand out for their delicate network growths and finely arched structures, sometimes almost filamentous, added to that their quality and luster and their faint iridescence in pastel tones of ocher, green, intense bluish, and pink, on predominantly greyish metallic reflections.
We will send the Fermín Clemente collection label to the buyer of the specimen.

JFD35AN7: Goethite
The La Lapilla goethites have an 'architectural' point and, although their color is sometimes not as intense as that of the Tharsis goethites, their structure and the design of their formations have always attracted me. I got it (of course) from Fermín Clemente, a great field collector in the Huelva area.

The size of the Goethite crystals in this piece made me forget that some of them were broken, but really its size and thickness and its good presentation, well placed in a matrix of Quartz, makes the piece very attractive.

Very aerial botryoidal growth of brilliant greyish Goethite. Excellent for this locality, being from the Peyrebrune mine itself, from which not many Goethites as remarkable as this one are known.

Small botryoidal growth on a matrix of the same Goethite, with iridescences of very vivid colors and predominating reddish shades. The sample, from a very unique find in 1980, it comes from a Spanish private collection.

Velvet Goethite from an old classic Spanish locality which is no longer productive. All of us were there when we were younger digging and trying to get something as good as this delicate specimen.

FB6Z8: Goethite
Botryoidal and arborescent growths with intensely metallic-iridescent patinas showing strongly contrasted coloration, between pink-mauve and greenish and bluish shades. These samples have more elegant forms that those that are better known from Filón Sur, at Tharsis, and they are very rare because they appeared in the year 2008, and quickly disappeared from the mineral market.

FA67Z8: Goethite
Fine columnar aggregates with patinas forming banded areas with vivid iridescent luster and strongly contrasted shades, predominating red, green and yellow. These samples have more elegant forms that those that are better known from Filón Sur, at Tharsis, and they are very rare because they appeared in the year 2008, and quickly disappeared from the mineral market.

18CBR09: Goethite after Marcasite
Crystals with well defined faces and edges that show "sperkise" twinning, with polycrystalline growths on some of the faces, and that have been totally pseudomorphed by brown Goethite. This piece was found in the 1970s at a now extinct locality. The sample is from the Carles Curto collection whose label and catalog card we will send to the buyer.

SV3390EXL: Goethite coating Quartz
A great piece from the San Valentín Quarry. The Quartz crystals are of good size, the Goethite that covers them has intense iridescence and the whole thing has a strange beauty. There is a slight saw cut on the back that barely impacts the visual appearance of the specimen. This piece was in one of the great collections of that area, that of Mariano Guillén. His collection passed to that of Miguel David Martínez with the number 1700 and whose label we will send to the buyer of the specimen.

SV3140TPZ: Goethite coating Siderite
A brilliant piece. The Siderite specimens from this forgotten locality were once a subject of debate because their appearance resembled Goethite. However, this is actually due to the presence of Goethite, which forms a thin layer covering the outer part of the Siderite “stalactites”! As is often the case, mineral collection and preservation prove to be valuable to the field of mineralogy.
