From a collection displayed for the first time at Munich 2019: Botryoidal growth on a matrix of the same Goethite, with iridescence of very bright colors in which green, golden and reddish tones predominate. Excellent quality for the deposit.
The specimen is from the collection of Miguel David Martínez (No. 398), whose label we will send to the buyer.

Very aerial spheroidal growths of glossy black Goethite. On matrix with Dolomite and small cubic Pyrite crystals. We will ship the piece in its original Perky box from the Robert J. Noble collection, which also contains the label, which shows a Wawa location, which was actually where the port of export of the material extracted from the mine was located.

SM90NML: Goethite
Goethite, as microbotryoidal growths on a matrix of the same mineral, very lustrous, and displaying iridescence of very vivid colors, with reddish tones predominating and, to a lesser extent, gold, blue, violet and green. The specimen comes from the Fermín Clemente collection, whose label we will send to the buyer. It does not come from the best-known locality, Tharsis, but from Rio Tinto.

Stalactitic botryoidal aggregate with intensely metallic-iridescent patinas, very bright and showing strongly contrasting coloration, with dominant reddish and orange shades. These growths contrast with a later phase with smaller and grayish botryoidal forms. The sample is from a famous 2007 find.

Black botryoidal growth of Goethite, lustrous, and with a second generation of Goethite in fine columnar and arched forms. Goethite is a rare species in this mine, much better known for its Pyrolusites and other manganese oxides.

Stalactitic-botryoidal aggregate of Goethite with intense iridescence, very lustrous and with metallic reflections, with dominant yellow, orange and reddish tones. The specimen comes from the collection of Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 1990s, brought together an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of Northern Spain.

Stalactitic-botryoidal aggregate with intense iridescence, very lustrous and with metallic reflections, with dominant reddish, green and blue tones. The specimen comes from the collection of Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection with a very good representation of the mineralogy of Northern Spain.

Aerial botryoidal and stalactitic growths of Goethite with ferruginous iridescence dominated by green and reddish tones. The specimen comes from a one-time find in a mine on land with no current access, so there will be no new specimens in the foreseeable future. The La Lapilla deposit is known for its gossan rich in metals, especially Gold, but it is difficult nowadays to find quality Goethite specimens from there on the market

Aggregate of botryoidal Goethite on matrix, with a uniform very dark black color, but with a luster that stands out for its high intensity, something not so common in the specimens found in La Arboleda, a mineralogically classic iron deposit for the Basque Country and which was so important for the development of its steel industry.

Compared with other goethites from southern Spain, those found in the La Lapilla mine stand out for their delicate latticed growths and very fine arched structures, sometimes almost filamentous, that add to the quality and vivid brilliance of its metallic iridescences, with blue, ocher and reddish reflections, with a predominance of metallic greyish. The specimen comes from the collection of Andrés Jiménez Shelly.

SV3220EPP: Goethite
Although not very famous, the Haiti mine has also yielded botryoidal goethites, sometimes of good quality. This specimen is a perfect example of this, with the Goethite/matrix relationship well balanced, with slight iridescence and a lot of luster in the Goethite groupings. It was in the collection of Miguel David Martínez with number 1818 and we will send its label to the buyer of the specimen.
