Group of cubo-octahedral crystals with very well defined faces and edges and showing polycrystalline growths on the surfaces. They are on a matrix of Quartz crystals and partially coated by micro-crystalline aggregates of this same mineral. An excellent English classic, from a very well-known locality.

Group of cubic Galena crystals with excellent luster and showing well marked growth striations on the cube faces. Also with very visible spinel twins. There are Chalcopyrite and small Quartz crystals at the rear of the specimen.

Crystals have rounded shapes but they are formed by stepped planes with the faces of the cube and the octahedron and they are very sharp and bright. Between the crystals of Galena some groups of transparent crystals of Quartz appear.

Druse of Galena crystals that show cube forms in some crystals and cubo-octahedron forms in others, on a matrix of fine, translucent and very sharp Quartz crystals. Among the quartzes there are some sharp crystals of Arsenopyrite. This very fine specimen comes from the Ferat Voca collection.

DH66AI2: Galena with Siderite
A classic of the Boldut Mine where the Galena is not exactly the most abundant species. In this case the sample shows a peculiar crystalline characteristic since the cubo-octahedral crystals, apart from being very bright, have a curious flattened morphology due to the very marked effect of the spinel law twin. The sample is dotted here and there by small lenticular crystals of Siderite.

Group of cubo-octahedral Galena crystals, on matrix, one of them clearly dominant, very aerial and of good size, lustrous, and with fine polycrystalline growths on the faces. The specimen, a great classic of Spanish mineralogy and of high quality, comes from the collection of the Ignacio Gaspar Sintes (number GAL-1019) and was previously in those of Jordi Povill and Josep Monné Porqueras.
