Crystals of Fluorite formed by faces of the cube and the dodecahedron. They are transparent, with color zoning and are on matrix, with Calcite and coatings of microcrystalline Quartz.

TT37X3: Fluorite with Quartz and Calcite
Fluorite crystal showing the faces of the dodecahedron and the cube. It is implanted on a matrix of Quartz crystals, with a small cubic Pyrite crystal and a yellowish lenticular crystal of Calcite. The Fluorite is translucent, with a clear blue color with a very well marked change of shade on the cube faces that are deep violet. The dodecahedral faces have echeloned polycrystalline growths.

BRB37AO8: Fluorite with Quartz and Chalcopyrite
Group of sharp Fluorite crystals, between transparent and translucent, with good luster and a geometric color zoning marked by the good contrast between the yellow color in most of the crystal and the deep violet on the edges. With Quartz at the base and inclusions of small Chalcopyrite crystals. A classic from the USA that comes from an important European collection.

TB1AL5: Fluorite with Quartz and Chalcopyrite
Fluorite deformed cuboctahedral crystal, translucent. Brilliant, with a change in color between pale green and pink. On matrix, with Quartz crystals and small, very sharp and bright Chalcopyrite crystals. The specimen, unusual and of high quality, comes from a classic German locality.
It belonged to the collection of H.B. Ruprecht, whose label we will send to the buyer.

NC97AH2: Fluorite with Quartz and Chlorite
Very sharp Fluorite crystal cubes. They are transparent and colorless but with deeply violet colored areas mainly concentrated on the edges. The Fluorite has grown on a doubly terminated and complete Quartz crystal. A picture of this sample has been published in the article “Vale das Gatas Mining District” in Mineral Up magazine (2017/1, pg. 35), and it is from the collection of Pedro Alves, the article’s author, whose samples have been used to illustrate it. We’ll send the collection label to the buyer.

NB67Z7: Fluorite with Quartz and Clinochlore
Very sharp cubic Fluorite crystals whose white cubic faces have a curious glassy aspect and are translucent on the edges. They are on a Quartz matrix, with columnar Clinochlore growths and small leafy Muscovite aggregates.

Very sharp Fluorite crystals, transparent, with good luster and a uniform violet color much more intense on the edges. On a matrix of water-clear Quartz crystals partially covered with small white Dolomite crystals. Aggregate of cubic Fluorite crystals beveled by dodecahedron faces. The crystals are extraordinarily transparent, have a very vivid sky-blue colorand are on matrix, with Quartz and Dolomite crystals.

Druse of sharp Fluorite crystals, translucent, with yellow color, partially covered by Quartz crystals and small Galena crystals. The specimen, very characteristic for the locality, is a Moroccan classic.

Floater cubic crystal, extraordinarily transparent, colorless, neat and bright. It is impaled by a crystal of Quartz coated by Goethite. The corners show very small faces of the cube surrounded by the trisoctahedron. A small jewel.

MA86T1: Fluorite with Quartz and inclusions
Group of transparent cubic crystals with very sharp faces and edges, intense blue color and violet reflections and with white microcrystalline inclusions. Their matrix is a group of Quartz crystals some of them doubly terminated.

MTD72AO0: Fluorite with Quartz and iron oxides
Group of very sharp Fluorite crystals, translucent, with good luster and a yellow-green color, with partial coatings of Quartz microcrystals with yellow tints, most likely iron oxides, and which, unlike what is usual, in this case embellish the piece by profiling its crystals with shades of intense yellow. Very different from those previously found at this locality.

Parallel growth of cubic Fluorite crystals with a clear green color, good transparency and brilliance, partially covered by Quartz. We don’t have other Fluorite references from this locality but we can confirm there are Fluorite mines.

FF61M2: Fluorite with Quartz and Microcline
Cuboctahedral crystals with slight coloring on faces and clearly zoned with a deep violet color on edges and vertices. Fluorite crystals are on an Orthoclase (adularia) and smoky Quartz matrix.

Polycrystalline growth of Fluorite crystals clearly beveled by the dodecahedron. They are transparent, bright, have a very intense sky-blue color and are on Quartz matrix, with small Muscovite blades. The sample is from the collection of Pedro Alves, the author of the article “Vale das Gatas Mining District” in Mineral Up magazine (2017/1). We’ll send the collection label to the buyer.

The upper levels of Panasqueira are currently offering surprising and pleasant novelties, with samples that are very different from what has been known from this mine.

FT47F5: Fluorite with Quartz and Orthoclase
At the top of the specimen there is a very aerial pink Fluorite, which is part of a group of octahedral crystals that sit on the typical matrix for the locality: light pink Orthoclase along with smoky Quartz and Clinochlore. Very unusual and elegant = a typical Jan Buma specimen. It also has a label, numbered 353, from the Herbert P. Obodda collection, which is where he got it.
