EX38AA5: Fluorite with Quartz
A novelty from Ste. Marie 2014. Fluorite crystals in vivid shades that vary between indigo and navy blue on a Quartz matrix. The crystals are cubic with well developed dodecahedron bevels, both forms having curved faces and edges: a very uncommon habit for Fluorite, completely different from other, previous finds in Huanggang. This is a kind of dream for lovers of unusual crystallography.

TV99Z9: Fluorite with Quartz
A novelty from Ste. Marie 2014. Vivid deep blue Fluorite crystals, with shades that vary between indigo and navy blue on a matrix of white crystallized Quartz. The smaller Fluorite crystals are neatly cubic, with small dodecahedron bevels and with very well defined curvatures on faces and edges, while the largest ones are unusually strongly rounded, a very uncommon shape for Fluorite. This shape is due to the balanced forms of the cube, polycrystalline and deeply edged, and the smooth dodecahedral faces, both dodecahedron and cube have curved faces and edges. Completely different from other, previous finds in Huanggang, it is a kind of dream for lovers of unusual crystallography.

MT76S5: Fluorite with Quartz
Clear green beveled cubic crystals with geometrical zoning of deep violet shades on the bevels and in the center of the crystal. They are with crystals of Quartz. Being the first samples to arrive from China, the locality is very imprecise, and our efforts to match it have been fruitless due the unusual aspect of the sample.

NXP16CD6: Fluorite with Quartz
Very aerial floater Fluorite specimen made up of cubic crystals with well defined faces and edges and polycrystalline growths of a bluish color typical of La Viesca, forming staggered growths on which Quartz crystals have grown in a very aerial way, probably by epitaxial growth on an ancient Calcite crystal already completely dissolved when the Quartz was precipitated. A very characteristic and notable example of what the La Viesca Mine, which closed in 2021, used to offer.

EV98D1: Fluorite with Quartz
A special specimen. The single ball with reddish color is very attractive, but also its matrix is different from the others we have seen: it is a kind of microcrystalline Quartz similar to a Chalcedony recovered by Opal. Plus a few small well-crystallized Quartz crystals are deposited on the ball. Funny and interesting in mineralogical terms!.
The specimen's photo has been reviewed and published in the magazine ‘Rocks & Minerals’ on page 299 in the volume 83, number 4 and in the magazine ‘Lapis’ on page 18, volume 35, number 10, Octubre 2010.
