AB48Y8: Ferberite with Calcite-Dolomite, Muscovite and Pyrite
Parallel polycrystalline Ferberite growth with a sharp shape and very well defined terminal faces. The Ferberite crystals are with leafy Muscovite and small Pyrite crystals. The back side of the sample is completely coated by rhombohedral Dolomite crystals partially coated by white lenticular Calcite crystals.

AC6M9: Ferberite with Fluorapatite and Mica
Growth of doubly terminated crystals with excellent terminations, very bright and with two implanted doubly terminated crystals of Fluorapatite.

AG27Y6: Ferberite with Fluorapatite, Quartz and Muscovite
Short prismatic Fluorapatite crystals partially doubly terminated, with very well defined faces and edges, transparent, with clear green color and implanted on a group of sharp and bright Ferberite crystals with Quartz and partially coated by small Siderite crystals on the back. The sample has been photographed for a long article in Mineral Up magazine devoted to the mineralogy of Portugal, although we cannot assure that the image will be definitely published.

AL76N4: Ferberite with Fluorite and Muscovite
Well defined crystals of Ferberite with very acute terminations. They are bright, with interpenetrated sheets of Muscovite and octahedral crystals of Fluorite with small cube faces.

FD13G0: Ferberite with Fluorite and Pyrite
These Ferberite crystals form a very curious growth in contrast with the matrix of bright Pyrite cubes covering a wide part of the back of the sample. On the Ferberite little Fluorite crystals can be seen.

Doubly terminated, very sharp, and without the slightest defect, this Ferberite has been for many years one of the prides of my collection. The Siderite crystals that border it, the Marcasite-Arsenopyrite and Quartz, complete its beauty.

The great growth of the terminal faces of this group of brilliant crystals, with their very well-defined faces and edges, make this a very attractive aerial group.

NP17M5: Ferberite with Muscovite
A very nice miniature with parallel growths of very sharp, well defined crystals of Ferberite partially covered and bordered by growths and “flowers” of Muscovite. Very original.

Short prismatic crystal, doubly terminated and with parallel growths. On the back it is partially covered by small crystals of Siderite and Muscovite.

RE77K8: Ferberite with Muscovite and Siderite
Tabular crystals, very deep and brilliant black in color with a string of Muscovite crystals in the upper third. Classic for the species, a contact twin on {100} is readily seen by the offset which forms the "ledge" upon which the Muscovite crystals are attached.

RC97X8: Ferberite with Muscovite, Calcite, Pyrite and Chalcopyrite
Floater parallel growth of two complete Ferberite crystals with quite well-defined acute terminations, not too common at Panasqueira, and with white Calcite crystals, small leafy Muscovite aggregates and isolated crystals of Pyrite and Chalcopyrite on the back side.

RM67H3: Ferberite with Muscovite, Siderite and Quartz
Excellent crystals, thicker than usual for Panasqueira and with very sharp and bright faces and edges. The faces are partially covered by spheroidal groups of Muscovite and small lenticular crystals of Siderite.

JFD100AO2: Ferberite with Pyrite
Despite their general uniformity, Panasqueira specimens can show a lot of variety. This Ferberite is very different from those that usually appear there since its crystals are highly elongated and fine, forming a kind of lattice. Fortunately, I am certain that it is from there since I bought it in 1990 in the mine 'Escritorio', freshly extracted from the mine by Zé da Tropa.

Group of crystals of Ferberite, some of them doubly terminated, with very well defined forms and with pyramidal faces, rare on the samples from Panasqueira. With Quartz and small coatings of Pyrite.

RM86K4: Ferberite with Quartz
Closed, dense group of crystals of thick tabular appearance, one of them clearly dominant, with an excellent definition of faces and edges and intense luster. On the backside there is a small Quartz crystal.

CR47AH6: Ferberite with Quartz and Muscovite
Ferberite crystals with very well defined parallel growths, with very well defined faces and edges and excellent terminations. It is very bright and aerial on an elegant base with a Quartz crystal and rosette-like aggregates of very sharp tabular Muscovite crystals. We’ll send to the buyer the original label and also a copy of the computer card with the full collection catalog text.

JFD242AQ1: Ferberite with Quartz and Muscovite
Panasqueira ferberites are among the standard-bearers of that mining district, but have always been difficult to acquire without flaws and with a certain “dynamism”, like this piece in which the many Ferberite crystals seem scattered in the Quartz crystals, which are very transparent and have small Muscovite rosettes at their base.

TC24300PBV: Ferberite with Quartz, Calcite-Dolomite and Siderite
Polycrystalline and parallel growths of large Ferberite crystals with very sharp habits, associated with a Quartz crystal and with white Calcite-Dolomite coatings and lenticular Siderite crystals. A monster. Among the best known of this size.

RH66H7: Ferberite with Siderite
Parallel group of prismatic crystals well defined, bright and having well defined terminations. The matrix is formed by tabular crystals of Siderite.On the back side is a minor crystal, probable Scheelite, visible with the UV light. Curiously, Scheelite is a scarce species at the Panasqueira Mine.

Very well defined, floater crystals of Ferberite. There is also some Mica and Siderite with them. Given their brilliance and perfection you can consider them to be one of the better quality Ferberites from the Panasqueira mines.
