Group of doubly terminated crystals of the isomorphous series Dissakisite-(Ce)/Allanite-(Ce). The majority of Trimouns specimens exhibit color zoning that seems to indicate the presence of both species in the same crystal, the darkest areas corresponding to Allanite- (Ce), as they are richer in iron, with the dominant Dissakisite-(Ce) being lighter. On matrix, with white rhombohedral Dolomite crystals. The Trimouns quarry, from which Talc is extracted, is located at an altitude of 1800 meters (5,900 feet), so mining only takes place from April to November.
