Big octahedral crystal of Carrollite of very well defined and bright faces with very well marked triangular forms of growth. Very unusual is the presence of abundant and very well defined crystals of Chalcopyrite that have grown epigenetically on the Carrollite. On Calcite matrix.

TH43AH0: Carrollite with Mica
A novelty at Tucson 2018. Very sharp and aerial cubo-octahedral crystal, complete and on matrix, with Mica. It has two small contacts on the left side, recrystallized by the Carrollite itself. The sample is from a recent find of samples of a great quality.
The specimen has been reviewed, photographed and published as a new discovery in the magazine ‘Mineral Up’ on page 44 of the 2018/01 edition.

Complete cubo-octahedral floater crystal of Carrollite, sharp, with octahedral faces predominating, very lustrous and with well defined crystal forms. To highlight a rare characteristic in the Carrollites of this deposit, the crystal is a complete floater with all its faces well developed except at the base of the crystal which exhibits polycrystalline growths and remains of contact with the matrix and leafy Pyrophyllite crystals.

Twinned Cassiterite crystal with sharp and lustrous crystal forms, with polycrystalline growths on the back of the crystal. On a matrix formed by Quartz grains, something not very common in specimens from this classic French locality, worked since Roman times. The specimen comes from the old collection of Robert-Auguste Touchon.

SV290TRM: Cassiterite
Floater crystal of Cassiterite with a very distinct “tin peak” twin, with well defined and lustrous faces and edges, some of them with grooves and truncations at the vertices. The specimen comes from a historic mining district that covered the border area between Saxony, in Germany, and Bohemia, in the current Czech Republic, exploited for tin and tungsten since the end of the Middle Ages.

A great French classic with a very majestic, thick and shiny Cassiterite crystal. The crystal does not have any matrix, but its base is clearly recrystallized, so the piece could be considered a floater, which added to the fact that its upper termination is perfect, makes it stand out from most of those seen from there. In short: high quality and very unusual.

A specimen with pedigree because on its back side are both the numbers of the Folch and Sir Arthur Russell collections. The specimen is documented also with the labels from both collections.
