JFD48AN8: Calcite with inclusions
Where they exist in the mine they are prolific. Among the many many Calcites that have been found there, Francesco Stoppani chose this one and I agree so much with him that I also chose it when I bought part of his collection. The black inclusions are almost certainly manganese oxides, but I have not confirmed this analytically.

DP89AC4: Calcite with inclusions

TC51AM0: Calcite with Inclusions
Doubly terminated floater Calcite crystal with dominant elongated faces and a very flattened terminal rhombohedron. Translucent, lustrous and very rich in oriented inclusions. The back is complete and exhibits a curious recrystallized growth that makes the crystal appear to be hemihedral.

Floater aggregate of two thick tabular Calcite crystals with clear and very bright prismatic faces and a greatly flattened terminal rhombohedron, transparent in the interior and whitish and translucent on their borders. We especially note the unusual crystalline morphology of the sample, but typical for this locality.

Floater aggregate of crystals that have a thick tabular shape, with clear and very bright prismatic faces, with inclusions, and a greatly flattened terminal rhombohedron, transparent in the interior and whitish and translucent on their borders. We especially note the unusual morphology of the crystals and, typical for this locality, the curious “mossy” inclusions of, very probably, iron oxides.

Druse on matrix of Calcite crystals formed by the prism and a flattened terminal rhombohedron, each crystal having a scalenohedral phantom growth delimited by vivid red Hematite inclusions and with a small group of white Dolomite crystals.

EQ14T8: Calcite with inclusions
Aggregate of rhombohedral crystals of Calcite with very marked curved faces and edges giving the so-called “saddle” shape. They are on matrix, with abundant “plumosite” (Boulangerite-Jamesonite) inclusions at the back of the sample.

MC36E2: Calcite with inclusions
A really very unusual spray of crystals of Calcite that have good brilliance and are partially colored by red oxides. The specimen is a floater with a re-crystallized base. Not just esthetic, it is also different from the others we have seen.

A sample of great quality to the world level. As is the case with so many specimens in this collection, the sample is of great quality for the locality.

EF49AA4: Calcite with inclusions
Druse of rhombohedral Calcite crystals with very well defined faces and edges and a red color, due to abundant inclusions, and partially coated by a second generation of small, white, Calcite crystals. As in so many specimens in this collection, the sample is of great quality for the locality.

NK67AL0: Calcite with inclusions and Fluorite
Two generations of Calcite coexist in the specimen, partially covering a group of transparent, lustrous and intense yellow Fluorite crystals. The later of these Calcite generations forms poorly defined white crystals, while the first forms a coating of translucent, bright, scalenohedral crystals, colored reddish by Hematite inclusions.

SV2280TXA: Calcite with inclusions and Pyrite
Group of Calcite crystals grouped in rosettes with globular growths clearly showing a part of the dark crystals due to inclusions -probably Boulangerite- that affects most of the crystals. Several nodules formed by Pyrite crystals provide a beautiful color contrast to the specimen. The Trepča mining complex is one of the largest polymetallic deposits in the world and for many years has yielded exceptional pieces of Sphalerite, as well as varied combinations of sulfides and carbonates as shown in this specimen, from the ex-Ferat Voca collection.

EPP88ASN2: Calcite with inclusions and Stibnite
A well-known and famous association of Calcite and Stibnite from the Xikuangshan antimony deposit. The flattened Calcite crystals, though thicker than usual, show a tabular morphology with well-defined faces and edges. The crystals are very translucent, and the base contains inclusions, creating a notable interior nebula effect. Stibnite crystals coat and partially pierce through the Calcite crystal, presenting a prismatic habit with a metallic sheen and polycrystalline terminations. This specimen comes from the largest known antimony deposit in the world.

A French “super-classic”. Group of acute rhombohedral crystals of calcite that have grown including white sand. It comes from the Palix collection but it does not have its original label.

TC140NM: Calcite with inclusions, Dolomite and Pyrrhotite
Very aerial group of complex Calcite crystals, rich in faces, dominated by the scalenohedron, transparent, with good luster and a very pale yellow color, with abundant inclusions. Dotted with small crystals of Pyrrhotite and a large rhombohedral Dolomite crystal of light brown color. A mine which at the time yielded a few pieces but from which soon thereafter nothing more was heard.

TY99AE9: Calcite with iron oxide inclusions
Aggregate of complex Calcite crystals, very rich in faces, with a predominant scalenohedron and a terminal rhombohedron. They are colorless, clear and very bright but have deep red Hematite inclusions in some parts of the sample. This one, an English classic, is from the Buck Keller collection, whose label we’ll send to the buyer.
