Very sharp Topaz crystal with well defined faces and edges and excellent terminal faces. Transparent, colorless, very lustrous and with a clearly hexagonal recess in one of the terminal faces that is probably the hole left by a Quartz crystal.

Group of Topaz crystals on a matrix of volcanic rock. They have very well defined faces and edges and pinacoidal terminations and they are transparent, bright and have color zoning, deeper and more concentrated in the terminal areas. A Mexican classic. The sample is from the Daunis collection whose label we’ll send to the buyer.

CBC66CD4: Topaz
Prismatic crystal very rich in faces on its terminations, twinned, water-clear and doubly terminated and of a delicate, very slightly bluish tone with a touch of green. With some apparent dissolution forms, a product of the very high temperature corrosive solutions that are typical of the formation processes of this type of specimen. The specimen comes from the collection of duplicates of Carles Curto (no. 1984.52) whose labels, both physical and digital, we will send to the buyer.

Floater and doubly terminated crystal. It is transparent and colorless, very bright and has polycrystalline forms on both terminations, suggesting that it must be from Teófilo Otoni area, although we cannot be sure of the locality.

Growth of two prismatic blue Topaz crystals with very defined faces and edges, very sharp and bright, and very rich in faces. They are between transparent and translucent and come from Brazilian pegmatites, in this case from Virgem da Lapa. The specimen comes from the duplicate collection of Carles Curto (number 1985.02), whose digital record will be sent to the buyer of the piece.

ELB87ASN2: Topaz
A floater Topaz crystal from Mogok, and from the early finds there. The crystal is extremely clean, with perfectly defined faces and edges. The upper termination is richly crystallized, and the base is recrystallized. This specimen comes from Roger Titeaux, a prominent French mineral dealer specializing in gemstone-quality specimens like this one. Titeaux acted as a bridge between collectors such as Claude Guillemin, Pierre Bariand, Henri-Jean Schubnel... and the current French mineral collecting scene.

Within a pocket in the typical riolite matrix there is this very luminous and upright Topaz. Small crystals of Quartz and Bixbyite accompany it. All of it is very brilliant and bright.

Miass is one of the best known classic localities for the species, but contrary to the usual blue color for Topaz specimens from there, this crystal shows a lively yellow color. The transparency, brilliance and definition of its crystalline forms are excellent.

Typical parallel growths, between columnar and fibrous, with uniform yellow color and on matrix, with Quartz and Zinnwaldite. This kind of Topaz, historically well known, as the variety, pycnite, is a classic of German mineralogy.

The specimen belonged to Santiago Jiménez who, especially in the 1980s and 90s, assembled an excellent collection.
